Khan Arms Shotguns in Canada: K200, Arista, Venator and A-Tac Explained

Khan Venator Fidelio 12 gauge semi-auto shotgun with black synthetic stock

Khan Arms is a Turkish shotgun maker from Üzümlü in Konya province, the heart of Turkey’s shotgun country. The company was founded in 1985, started exporting in 2000, and has built over-unders for Mossberg. It is also the widest Turkish range we carry: over-unders, gas semi-autos, pumps and a single shot, from $434.00 to $1,099.00. Here is what each Khan is for and which one to buy.

Over-unders: K200, Arista and Arthemis

The K200 12 gauge ($549.88) is the cheapest over-under we sell: a 3.5 inch chamber for magnum waterfowl loads, 28 inch barrels, a black synthetic stock, extractors and five chokes from skeet to full. The K200 Camo Super Magnum is $598.88.

The Arista is the upland gun: 26 inch barrels, Turkish walnut, five chokes and a red fibre optic sight. The Arista ST 20 gauge has a steel receiver at $987.00, and the Arista AL .410 has a lighter alloy receiver at $938.00.

The Arthemis Super Sport ($1,099.00) is the sporting clays model, with a forged steel, laser-engraved receiver and a removable trigger group.

Semi-autos: the Venator line

Gas-operated semi-autos with aluminium receivers, screw-in chokes and fibre optic sights. The Venator Fidelio 12 gauge 28 inch in black is $448.88, the Venator in Mossy Oak Break-Up with a 30 inch barrel is $498.99 for ducks and geese, and the K-300VS Venator Fidelio is $725.00. The Venator X Natura 20 gauge ($678.00) adds a Turkish walnut stock.

Pumps: Field, VP and A-Tac

The Field pump in 20 gauge is $635.00 and the Field pump in .410 is $664.00. The VP20 and VP410 are $687.00. The A-Tac ($545.00) is the tactical pump with a side-folding stock.

Single shot: Stylox

The Stylox ($434.00) is a break-open single shot with an extractor, offered in 12 gauge, 20 gauge and .410. A simple first gun for a young hunter.

Are Khan Arms shotguns any good?

For the money, yes. You get walnut, screw-in chokes and 3 inch chambers at prices where Italian guns do not exist. What you give up with Khan Arms is some finish and resale value, the same trade you make with most Turkish guns. If you shoot a few boxes a year and hunt a few weekends each fall, a Khan does the job. Our Turkish shotguns guide goes deeper on that trade, and the best over under shotgun guide puts the K200 and Arista next to everything else.
