Brigade Makasi MK-15NSR FDE 5.56 NATO Rifle, 18.6″ Barrel, Non-Restricted
The Brigade Makasi MK-15NSR FDE is the updated version of the Makasi MK-15, Brigade Manufacturing’s non-restricted semi-auto rifle built for Canadian shooters. It keeps the 18.6″ barrel and 5.56 NATO chambering that made the original popular, and adds a longer 15″ free-float M-LOK handguard. The billet aluminum receivers and rail come in Flat Dark Earth, paired with a black para-style folding stock, grip and barrel.
What changed on the MK-15NSR
- 15″ M-LOK handguard instead of the original 12″, so there is more room for lights, grips and a bipod.
- Billet aluminum receivers, upper and lower, for a tight fit and lower weight.
- Same proven short-stroke gas piston action and bufferless design as the MK-15.

Why choose the Brigade Makasi MK-15NSR FDE?
The Makasi mixes a FAL-style layout with AR-15 controls and magazines, so it feels familiar the first time you pick it up. The piston system runs cleaner and cooler than direct impingement, and the folding stock makes the rifle easy to case and carry. In addition, the longer 15″ rail gives you a full-length top rail for optics and more mounting space up front. Overall, it is a solid pick if you want a non-restricted semi-auto that stands out from the usual black rifle.
