The Crusader Arms Backland Hunter Rifle blends the proven ergonomics, versatility, and reliability of a traditional shotgun platform with the performance of a modern ranch-style semi-automatic hunting rifle. Inspired by popular non-restricted shotguns such as the Benelli M4, this rifle utilizes a similar bolt carrier and strut system that cycles into a spring-loaded buffer tube to manage recoil and reset the action smoothly.
Chambered in .223 Wylde (also compatible with 5.56 NATO), the Backland Hunter replaces the traditional piston system with a lightweight gas impingement system, reducing overall weight for easier carry during long treks and extended hunting trips. It also features the trusted trigger group and stock design derived from the Benelli M4 platform, delivering familiar handling and dependable performance.
Built for hunting, sport shooting, and target practice, this semi-automatic rifle includes an optic-ready full-length top rail for flexible scope and accessory mounting. The innovative two-piece proprietary receiver is uniquely designed and not compatible with other rifle platforms. It feeds exclusively from proprietary 5-round Crusader Arms magazines, with six magazines included in the package.
